ECO
Series

|
|
| The
OTEC ECO series are small, low cost disc finishing machines
perfect for the smaller jewelery manufacturer.

| The process container is stationary
and has a flexible spinning disc in the base, which revolves
at 120 - 330rpm. This action causes the process media to flow
into a toroidal shape, creating a sliding pressure on the pieces
to be smoothed or polished. |
|
| |
- There is a choice of single or twin
process bowls.A single bowl is specified for deburring or for
polishing. A twin bowl machine
would normally be specified with one bowl for deburring and the
other bowl for polishing.
- Process bowls are available in 5 or
9 litres capacity.

Description
of normal operational sequence:

|
| |
|
| |
- This is normally carried out in a
`wet' process bowl where water together with a soluble compound
is introduced via a small electric pump system.
- The process bowl is filled with media
(normally an abrasive filled plastic shape) and the jewelery pieces
are added.
- The process time is set using the
in built timer and the speed adjusted by rotating the potentiometer
knob.
- Normal process time is only 2-3 hours.
|
| |
|
| |
- This is carried out in a `dry' process
bowl where the media used is a walnut granule pre dosed with a
polishing paste.
- The bowl is filled with media together
with the jewelery pieces to be polished, the time and speed are
set and the process started.
- Standard polishing time is one to
three hours.
- The media can be used for up to 150
hours before being replaced. During processing it is refreshed
every 6 - 10 hours, by the addition of a small amount of polishing
paste.
