FINISH MACHINES
DF-I

|

|
|
| All Otec DF series disc finishing
machines for de burring & polishing uniquely feature: |
|
| |
|
| |
- Parts to be processed are held in
jigs or fixtures fixed to a revolving turret, which is automatically
lowered into the polishing media, contained in the process container.
- The turret is programmed to periodically
reverse direction to ensure a uniform surface finish.
- Process times are typically 60 to
90 minutes.
|
| |
|
| |
- There are five machines in the range,
from 12 to 140 litre, process container capacity.
- The top of the range DF 140 will carry
ten fixtures, each capable of holding several parts depending
on size and shape,
- thus producing a throughput of up
to 3,000 parts per day.
|
| |
| Description of normal operational sequence: |
|
| |
- Parts to be de burred or polished
are normally loaded into the fixtures at the workbench.
- Fixtures are clicked into quick release
chucks situated on the underside of the turret.
- The computer programme is set to lower
the revolving turret for processing to begin.
- At the end of the cycle, the fixtures
are released and replaced by another set.
- Within 5 minutes the next process
cycle can be started and the finished parts can be removed from
their fixtures.
